3T Radiology

This is a Full Body Spine MRI. The Spine is divided into 3, Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar. Patient has been having back pains and the health insurance did not want to pay for her full spine. The insurance only paid for 1 of the 3. The patient came to 3T Radiology and had a radiology consult with our Dr. The Dr wrote a script for the other areas of the Spine and the patient paid for the 2 extra scans the insurance denied. This MRI of the Brain shows an enhancing tumor in the cerebellar hemisphere which is consistent with metastatic disease. The bottom right side of this picture shows the tumor which is unfortunately cancer. The tumor was surgically removed by a neuro surgeon.

As always, 3T MRI is the gold standard for getting the most accurate diagnosis. The clearer images help the radiologist see every detail. Don't get anything less than a 3T rated MRI. Search your local area to find one if you need an MRI. Or, you can always call 3T Radiology and Research.
