Cable core twist

This is a full body exercise that trains a movement (rotation) not just muscles.

Rotation can improve: core strength, sports performance, balance & mobility.

Examples: golfers rotate their torso during swing, basketball players pivot and rotate their hips and shoulders in game.

Technique tips
- “squash the bug”, imagine you’re squashing a bug with your foot by turning your foot and twisting your body in the direction of rotation. Use entire body to generate power, not just arms.

- pull the cable to your side, avoid letting the weight pull you forward (this is where your core works to prevent movement) as you reach the mid point
