85I'm also recognizing that we are all human "beings" not human "doings." So important to remember. Often times, we get lost in work, social media, relationship drama, even seems that we think are good to get lost in like our hopes and dreams. The problem with that is that all of these things are meant to serve our lives, not the other way around.
We can't always be chasing. Life is meant to be lived right where we stand. Sure, we can have big goals, but our work, relationships, health and everything else is meant to serve our lives, not the other way around.
I've watched myself and many of my friends sacrifice themselves for obviously negative things like fame, money and approval, but also for things that seem positive -- family, love, "the mission." The result is always the same: If you haven't built a deep sense of approval in yourself, a clear sense of who you are, what your values are, and above all, if you haven't created space to BE, not just to DO, life will continue to be painful. You'll have money -- and be in pain. You'll be famous -- and be in pain. You'll have a beautiful family -- and be in pain.

🧨 Been having an absolute blast. I made a decision that I would sing at every gig I do about 3 months ago. It's led to SO MUCH growth.
I won't lie, it's also been really uncomfortable -- but every time I look past that fear and allow myself to be vulnerable, it has paid off, even when the moment, itself, doesn't work out.

📸 @odysphotos I'm realizing I'm a student of life and love. I don't need to have it all figured out. I don't need to have all the answers. I've realized that the work isn't done until I can laugh,openly, about my past mistakes with others. And, damn, do I make mistakes, all the time.
I'm also recognizing that we are all human "beings" not human "doings." So important to remember.
