The Wilderness of Eastern Europe 🦬🐺🦅

In different countries and areas across Eastern Europe we were able to observe and photograph big predators, grazers, and scavengers that are otherwise absent from the rest of the continent. Each and every one of these species plays a vital role in keeping ecosystems healthy. 🌿

Apex predators for example help to regulate prey populations, such as deer and wild boar, preventing overgrazing and maintaining healthy vegetation. This trophic cascade positively affects the entire ecosystem, eventually promoting biodiversity. 🌳

There are many more positive effects of these large animals but just having them around is the biggest blessing of it all. Nothings beats the feeling of seeing wild wolves secretly trotting through the forest, heavy bisons grazing peacefully on a meadow, or golden eagles majestically flying through the skies. 🥰
