55The State of Massachusetts has officially declared E-Waste Day – October 14, 2025!
I've worked tirelessly the past 5 years to create awareness about the unknown issue of E-Waste. Throughout the past few years, with the help of the most amazing community, we've been able to keep over 2,000 pounds of electronic waste from entering landfills and oceans and polluting the environment.
I've authored a book on this topic, completed a Girl Scout silver award project, done several science fair projects, given keynote speeches, held collection drives, and one of the most meaningful things this initiative has brought is the opportunity to connect with community leaders on this topic. I did this through proclamations. Never did I realize how widespread this could become.
50 cities and 2 Florida counties later... THE STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS!
I'm endlessly grateful to everyone who has come to collection drives, supported my book, and watched me during this journey and I can't believe I've had the opportunity to create awareness from Florida all the way up to Massachusetts!
Thank you to Governor Healey and the Massachusetts team for recognizing the importance of responsible recycling and youth-driven change.

55this week felt extra special. i had the opportunity to go on @bloom_tv and share the journey of penniesforpenguins + theewasterevolution over the past 11 years (!!).
it’s still kind of surreal to talk about something that started so small and has grown into work that reaches communities, classrooms, and young people who want to make a difference.
more than anything, i’m just really grateful. grateful for every person who’s supported, listened, learned, or taken even one small step toward helping the planet.
because that’s what this is about—showing that you don’t have to be perfect or have everything figured out to make change. you just have to start 🌱
here’s to continuing the work, together 🤍
