My most recent painting, it’s called ‘Natural Weapons’ 🐚

Four species. Four completely different defensive strategies.
Spines. Elongation. Surface area. Structure.

All soft-bodied animals relying entirely on shell architecture for protection.

This series started as a few small studies and turned into something way more intentional than I expected.

I had a lot of fun painting this one. It pushed me technically, but it also reminded me why I like studying these forms in the first place.
