Kevin MC (also known as Omowale Malik Jabali) is a multi-talented creative artist based in Los Angeles, California. Kevin grew up in Los Angeles as a youth inspired by the numerous political, social and cultural movements of the 1960s such as the Black Arts Movement, Civil Rights Movement and anti-Vietnam War peace movement.
Kevin’s fondest childhood memories are traveling as a member of the Victory Baptist Church Youth Gospel Choir of South Central Los Angeles.
He has taught inner-city youth since 1985 and began songwriting in 1988. He is currently involved in numerous creative projects such as Black Prophet Music, Ewosa Village,Afro-Fusionist Sound Lab and the 1492 and River Roads Writing Projects.
