Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired from a Star Wars movie.

Most people would assume that’s the end of the story.

Instead, they just delivered the biggest opening for a non-franchise film in a decade.

A reminder: Getting fired isn’t always the end.

Sometimes it’s the moment that redirects your momentum.

And Hollywood may be the only business where getting fired doesn’t force you into a lateral move…

Sometimes it leads to something even bigger.
