The poor dog was brought to the ER, and sadly, he had no tags or chip.
He is underfed, with overgrown nails, and his butchered ears appear to have been cut with scissors.
We can tell that he was not properly cared for prior to his rescue, and was most likely neglected.
The finders contacted the police and posted him on Facebook in hopes of finding his family, to no avail.
This is heartbreaking, as he must have been abandoned on purpose.
Although they only had him for a short time, they say that he is a very good dog.
The family even had him meet their dog and cats, and he was great with them.
However, he is scared of loud noises, and gets easily spooked.
We will be vetting him, but in the meantime, we desperately need a temporary foster home until we have room at the rescue.
Sadly, the family cannot keep him and we need to find a foster home ASAP.

491Tyson will be coming to NYBC, and we would love for him to go directly into a foster home.
Poor Tyson was rescued by a Good Samaritan from a trap house in the scorching heat. A trap house is a place where illegal drugs are sold, which is very unsafe for any animals ( and humans ).
Thankfully, they negotiated his surrender and ultimately brought him to the 113th Precinct in Jamaica, Queens, who then reached out to us for help.
Tyson is an adorable and loving dog, he is approximately eight or nine years old. He has a very sweet demeanor, he gets along with everyone, and other dogs.
Knowing where he was rescued from breaks our hearts, but rest assured, we will do everything in our power to find the perfect home for him.
Tyson will be brought to the veterinarian for a check-up, but in the meantime, please consider donating to his care.
