What separates one photo from the other is an injury I had last year.
In 2023, I would touch the floor with my entire hand.
In January 2024, I injured it while working out, and a gluteal muscle LIMITED ME in several movements... One of them was simple stretching, which I already had. It became impossible to touch my hand to my shin.
Along with the process, I spent 21 days in bed, on complete rest. And it was uncomfortable even to walk...
And did I devolve? No, perhaps it was my period of greatest evolution.
More than the pain, my mind was my biggest challenge during that time.
And that's when I actually practiced YOGA. I lived in the present, took deep breaths to calm my nervous system, meditated to clear my thoughts.
If it weren't for yoga, I would have completely lost my mind.
It was 6 months of recovery, where yoga ACCOMPANIED ME DAILY OFF THE MATS.
After all, on the mat, I did take a few steps back.
Life itself is not linear, it is full of curves, ups and downs. That is how relationships, days and consequently practice are too.
There are days when everything flows beautifully, others when things get stuck.
And that's okay, that's the beauty of the process.
We go up and down.
Breathe. Life is made up of phases, and it's up to us to be aware of how to go through each one of them in the best way possible.

Wow, but did she devolve?!
