Cliff Tanaka

I'm Cliff Tanaka, CEO of CMD Inc., a Tokyo-based firm providing IT consulting and software development, where we're also building Qualia, a SaaS platform that helps teams govern the quality of their AI. Beyond CMD, I serve as CTO of rooom Inc., a fintech M&A platform, and as a CTO-level advisor to ZIPAIR. Across all of it, my focus is the same: building technology that holds up in real business. That perspective comes from starting as an engineer at Yahoo! and Silicon Valley startups, and from more than a decade since 2012 bringing that experience to companies in Japan.
