The Los Angeles-born actor and Entertainers issue cover star made her name in the mid-2010s in films like ‘Dear White People,’ ‘Creed,’ and ‘Selma’ before cementing herself as an MCU staple, becoming a blueprint for an actor who could go big without selling out or foregoing the quieter indie flick. Then, without any projects to promote, Thompson slipped out of the spotlight for two years, taking advantage of this lower-key period to build up @vivamaude, the production company she founded in 2020.
This winter has seen her re-enter the chat with a suite of conversation-starting projects. Thompson made her rounds on the award circuit for ‘Hedda,’ Nia DaCosta’s reinvention of Henrik Ibsen’s 19th-century play about an aristocratic woman defying every norm imposed on her. (Her role as the titular Hedda Gabler won her a Critic’s Choice award and a Golden Globe nom.) ‘His & Hers,’ the mystery thriller limited series she leads with Jon Bernthal, hit 19.9 million views on Netflix within days of dropping in January. Next, she’ll be making her Broadway debut opposite Adrien Brody in ‘The Fear of 13.’ The production, which begins previews this March, tells the story of a man who spent more than two decades on death row before being exonerated with new DNA evidence.
“I feel this sense of impending excitement,

The new design publication from CULTURED, guest edited by @alexcunninghamcameron, “chases the impulse for abundant experience across ruined gardens, calamitous interiors, midnight listening parties, and sancta sanctorum,” to capture how artists and designers really live, mess and all.
The inaugural issue is part resource—mapping landscapes of contemporary design culture—and part reverie—a collection of intimate looks into the homes of critics, novelists, filmmakers, and designers. Above all, ACC sees CULTURED at Home as an homage to the “intelligence each of us gains from a lifetime of sensory experience. To place a rose in a vase on the table just so is an opus. Only you can do it like that.”

The Texas-born actor has @heatedrivalrycrave to thank for that. Less than a month since it premiered, the show—and its costars, Storrie and @hudsonwilliamsofficial—have enjoyed the kind of ravenous word-of-mouth popularity that no marketing budget can buy.
For 25-year-old Storrie, who was working 40 hours a week as a server in Los Angeles before booking ‘Heated Rivalry,’ the past few weeks have been “surreal.” There was no reason to think that an MM affair based on a romance novel by Rachel Reid and produced for a Canadian streamer would break through in the U.S.’s content-choked media landscape. “The more that I get recognized, the more that people stop me and know me by name,” Storrie tells writer @robfrank__ for the issue, “the more I’m like, ‘Okay, this is actually something.’”

Tessa Thompson’s always had range. But she’s about to take even bigger swings—onscreen, onstage, and in the boardroom.

Three weeks ago, you had to be a regular at the South Beverly Grill or a part of LA’s underground clown scene to recognize @connorstorrieofficial. Now, he’s everywhere.
