We set up under a massive vaulted ceiling to give the sound the necessary volume. The tongue drum is by no means a quiet instrument. However, it possesses the ability to instantly blend with the space and dissolve into the architecture.
Recording this elusive harmony in the city, right in front of an amazed crowd, was a challenge. Yet we managed to capture that distinct, pure timbre.
This specific vibration instantly switches the adult brain from "stress and control" mode into a state of safety and childhood.
