However, after being in Israel for my first time in 10 years, visiting the many different sites that were affected by the OCT 7th Hamas attack, helping various communities rebuild their lives, bringing hope to those who had lost their homes, and making new lifelong friendships with some of the most beautiful souls on the planet, something changed. Directly after the farewell dinner for the entire JNF mission team, right as I was about to leave, someone who I bonded with on a deeply personal level during the expedition ran up to me and gave me one of the biggest and strongest hugs I have ever received in my 25 years of life. Even through all the devastated communities and memorial sites we visited, I was able to keep it together. Then, as I was being hugged goodbye by this wonderful person, it hit me. Everything that I saw and experienced the days before finally came to the surface, from the highest highs of seeing Jewish children joyfully play in the Sderot indoor playground we helped refurbish for them, to the lowest lows of surveying the scene of the Nova Music Festival massacre. Yeah, I cried. It was Return of the King ending levels of emotions. So, what is the point of this? Am I trying to guilt trip those who will always hate Jews and Israel no matter how hard we try to get them to like or at least accept us? Not at all.

My advice to those who are passionate about film related journalism or any journalism for that matter is to never stop writing, because you never know who you can have a positive impact on. I would like to thank Mr. Byron Lafayette along with countless other veteran film critics I know for making all of this possible and I can't wait to continue bringing you my movie reviews in this new stage of my career.

I am proud, honored, and humbled to announce that after 10 plus years of writing movie reviews on social media, I have finally been approved as a member of the Independent Film Critics of America. This membership is a massive step forward for my career in film critiquing and will further enable me to gain access to press screenings of newly released movies so I can bring you all my reviews as early as possible. It will also give me opportunities to conduct interviews with film industry professionals as well as build my network with a ton of new and exciting individuals. You know, I cringe when I look back at my earlier write ups, for I never thought I'd be able to become eligible as a member of the press as my reviews didn't rise to the level of sophistication of most professional critics.
Nonetheless, I kept going, kept writing, kept hustling, and kept on cranking out review after review, making changes along the way to better improve my work. My advice to those who are passionate about film related journalism or any journalism for that matter is to never stop writing, because you never know who you can have a positive impact on.
