Hey I’m Sam AKA DeafChefOfficial. 👋
I was born deaf and diagnosed when I was 2 years old. 🦻🏻 I grew up with my mum teaching me BSL and have been using it a lot at home 🧏🏼‍♂️🏡.
My mission is to get the general public to learn some sign language.🦸🏼‍♂️
If everyone knows some basic sign, deaf or hard of hearing people who use BSL would feel more included in conversations and group discussions.
I do seriously hope that BSL will be recognised and start to progress to be part of the national curriculum and that schools will start to teach it as a language🏫🧑🏼‍🏫. This all starts with YOU! ☺️ Learning everyday, using the signs with deaf people, meeting people and introducing them to sign language. You could start by asking your workplace to help you by paying towards the courses.
