I cannot believe he’s not a baby anymore! Time goes by way too fast, and I just adore everything about him! He’s so shy yet gentle. Quiet yet deep. And no matter how hard he tries to hide his smile, you can just see his smiles his eyes. We love you Jason! 🥹🤍

Last year, I used to think I didn’t do enough for not placing my firstborn in speech therapy right away.
2 years ago, I used to think I didn’t give my firstborn enough attention as I had 2 more kids.
3 years ago, I used to think I didn’t spend enough time with my firstborn as I worked full time.
4 years ago, I used to think I didn’t do feed my firstborn enough as he came a picky eater.
5 years ago, I used to think that I didn’t hold my firstborn enough.
6 years ago, I didn’t think I could be good enough to be a mom, because how can I as a Deaf Mom? (Ouch!)
But…
There’s something about having a firstborn that breaks you and then molds you right back to who you were supposed to be, apart and together.
And…
I now know better than all these years, I was just being a mom who wanted to do her best. And when she needed to be reminded of that - all she had to do was look at her children, who are her blessings.

Happy Birthday to my sweet Jason! 🤟🏻🥳

A self reflection in a poetic way about my Deaf motherhood with my firstborn, Luke. 👇🏻😭
