The image of the Virgin is something praised in every corner of Los Roques. The sculpture you see was originally placed here by the local fishermen so it would bring them good fortune.
Just the kind of fortune I needed to get this shot.
After flying here and assembling the underwater housing, I realized that I was missing a key piece for the lens. I needed to get it here in just a couple of days, something that seemed almost impossible...almost. But somehow with the help of these awesome friends, I got the piece just in time. @sofiperazzo @edarevalod @rodrigao9
