I work hard at everything I do, I build big walk in shower s that will never leak. Seats out built out of block, curb is built out of block. My niches I build so the end up landing with a full tile course at the tops and at the bottoms, I build the shelves from the tile being installed. Or I get glass and build the shelves out of glass.every seam is web taped and thinset over the top and then waterproof membrane rolled over the whole shower. If a tornado came it would be safer then your basement.
