Xi Jinping was awarded an unprecedented third five-year term as China's President on Friday. The National People's Congress voted 2,952 to 0 for 69-year-old Xi's reappointment. Xi was also unanimously named commander of the 2 million-member People’s Liberation Army. Earlier, a two-term limit on the presidency had been deleted from the Chinese constitution.
