it's been a while since I touched a #drumset or MiC. Felt a little weird being back behind my drums after 6 months or so. Life got crazy! And I got sick with a deep bone infection. They initially thought it was #cancer. Thank God it wasn't. Long story short, I am better now and getting back to normal. DPoMLive can't stay quiet for too long!!! The Fire is still LiT!
Can't ever hide that! What more can I say but God is good and #AMEN!

For those that wonder what my music therapy is all about, it all goes back to a head injury I sustained many years ago. Though I fight every day through complications, fears, #doubts and the wicked #manifestations of #PTSD. I am a #survivor and blessed to still be alive!!!

BLoG: Wedding Photography Rates

It would behoove me to know where photographers are charging this much for a wedding and what they are providing to the client for those prices???

As a previous wedding photographer I became tired of the rates dropping and people requesting services for shorter periods of time...or just the reception...or just the ceremony. The 8hr wedding days are long gone in my eyes. So many now are just interested in the highlights. And it is difficult to battle social media these days. Where the other struggle begins... Everyone has a cell phone which kills the anticipation for both the photographer and the customer.

Of the chains weighing down on me
These chains of burden strangling me
Suffocating me as I fight to set myself free
Financial struggles plaguing me
The world is sitting on top of me
Feeling like ATLAS of mythology
Might as well be his prodigy
So I give iT to God
As I bow my head and nod
Running at full speed
Imma run my ass off this I decree
I allow my souL to spread its wings
I allow myself to be a weightless being
Feeling so light as HE lifts me
These mountains I leap
In a single bound
Promises and obligations I must keep
No time for sleep
