ELISA SAUNDERS

Elisa Saunders was born and raised in South Florida and earned her BA in Communication from Florida Atlantic University. After 14 years as a 9th-grade English teacher, she transitioned into the addiction and mental health field, inspired by her own recovery journey.

Sober since 9/19/2011, Elisa is passionate about service, advocacy, and helping others find hope. She was named one of Palm Beach’s Finest Women of the Year for Cystic Fibrosis after raising thousands for the organization and was a founding member of Women Empowering Women Palm Beach.

Elisa serves on the advisory board of Miriam’s House, is co-chapter lead of SFV Women in Addiction Treatment, also with Hav A Sol on event planning committee.
