- Yes, that is my mother (Lydia) who is mentioned in Dancing for the Devil, along with her lawsuit.
- I found out that, allegedly, the initial discovery of our lawsuit immediately helped SIX dancers wake up and escape the cult. And possibly more since. And possibly will keep others from joining. I CRIED when I found out about those six dancers. I care way more about these precious lives who are free now than us losing the rest of our money losing this lawsuit (R*bert was allegedly protected under “religion”). This is all I had hoped for: To keep people safe and away from them.
- Yes, we were a major part of the cult origin story as original members for 13 years, and as the funding for the operation and their various businesses.
- Yes, living 24/7 in the cult that long was that awful. It was actually way, way, way more harrowing than what the documentary covers.
- I’m going to be working on my first video this weekend. I’ve been frozen in waves of intense traumatic memories for weeks, but I see myself slowly thawing. I just became able to leave the house, albeit only to go to my best friends’ living rooms, but progress is progress!
If you have any last-minute (respectful) questions you want answered in my videos, let me know in the comments.
This will probably be my last Baz Luhrmann‘s Romeo + Juliet post for a while, sorry for the outfit spam!

But then I collaborate with people like @anetherealfire. We put our heads together to produce this beautiful work of art. I am so inspired by his pieces (check out his IG, you will not be disappointed)! My work can get lonely; I love collaborating with artists who rejuvenate me and relight the fire for my other projects, both on and off the screen. ⚡️
More to come from this series!

Some quick points about my experience that might help you were that all the moles that were of concern appeared out of nowhere one day, they were VERY dark (almost black), and even though they looked symmetrical to my

Being a “creator” has lost a bit of its shine over the last few years. What exactly am I creating? My partners call me an artist and I RECOIL. Artist? Not me. I am not worthy. Not like those REAL artists.

So…I had cancer. Skin cancer, to be exact (and, if we’re being honest, I’m grateful it was just skin). I was seeing my dermatologist for an acne follow up and happened to be wearing shorts that day. He didn’t like the look of a mole I had on my knee, and we biopsied it on the spot. It came back cancerous, and this started me panic-checking my whole body for more strange moles. I ended up having a big area on my right knee as malignant, and one small area on my right thigh as benign (in addition to two mildly abnormal ones on my left thigh and my right buttcheek, which is actually fine). This led to MONTHS of surgery, recovery, surgery, recovery—I had no idea how much I bent my knee until this! To this day, my right knee is not fully healed (and it looks kinda gross). My right buttcheek has a big bruise still and it hurts to sit for long. And I have to keep an eye out in case it comes back! Gah! Anyway, if *I* can get skin cancer—me, the person who wears sunscreen indoors every single day—anyone can. Please please please check yourself regularly and wear sunscreen religiously. My maternal grandmother and grandfather died of cancer, and my mom had a benign tumor. I was dreading the day it would find me.
