If you don’t know Harvest Hosts are usually businesses, restaurants, breweries, farms, etc. Boondockers welcome are usually peoples homes that just want to offer up their property. Sometimes they have things to purchase or you can tip them if you like. We pay a yearly fee to be part of HH and BW.

20Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor is in a great location if you’re wanting to head into Seattle for the day. There’s a ferry close by you can take into the city. Or if you wish to stay in the cute town as we did, there are also tons to do within walking distance from the campground. The campground has full hookups, all the amenities, and tons of beautiful shade trees. We loved sitting outside by their fire pit after a long day of sightseeing.
Before heading to Gig Harbor, stop first at the Hoh Rainforest. It’s such a beautiful park with lots of hikes and beaches.
While at Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor, you can walk to the town, harbor, and restaurants. Don’t miss the shops, distillery, and brewery while you’re downtown.

Stop 🛑 1 after crossing back from Canada and Alaska. Save for your PNW trip! After crossing the border back into the lower 48 we needed a quick stay before heading down. Not a lot of boondocking in that area. We have @harvesthosts and @boondockers.welcome membership. We found this Boondockers Welcome spot and it had beautiful sunset views. They also had a a few cows, chickens, and a peacock. The owners were super nice as well.
