The only difference is my body composition - I’ve grown more muscle now and this has changed how my body looks.
That’s why whatever journey you’re on, don’t purely focus on the your scale weight! You know I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but go by how you feel, how much stronger you are, physically and mentally. Go by how much more confident you are instead of getting caught up by how much you weigh.
The left hand picture was me in 2020 during lockdown, I loved my body, I was very confident and I lifted as much as I could (at home since the gyms were closed). Over the last 4 years I’ve grown because life’s changed a lot since lockdown, I lost weight, I gained weight, but I was always working towards a stronger version of myself.
My one aim will always be to get stronger, so my advice to you all is training for strength instead of weight loss is the best way to finally enjoy working out without putting immense pressure on yourself, all whilst still seeing the amazing results that strength training gives you 👊🏼 Now go pick up a dumbbell 💪🏼🤗

1) Started training Chest more!
2) Started my shoulder workouts with Lateral Raises instead of Press
3) Been CONSISTENT 👊🏼
4) Trained as Heavy as Possible!
5) Stuck to my supplements and increased Protein
6) Stopped ALL cardio 😂 (Apart from using the Sauna 2 x per week which definitely makes you sweat like cardio 😓)
Why have these things made a difference for me?
I’ve added new exercises on my Chest days focusing more on Incline Presses which work the shoulders too - this means because I’ve switched up my workouts my body needs to adapt accordingly.
I’ve noticed starting with lateral raises (for me) has really improved my lateral strength, since typically I would have exhausted my shoulders more starting with heavy presses. I now do presses towards the end of workout. Remember this is simply changing up my workouts because I most probably plateaued prior to this - there’s no magic in putting lateral raises first but it’s helped me!
I’ve stopped all cardio - I am a slow gainer and don’t grow muscle easily, so for me I have to stop pretty much all cardio in order to see muscle growth. I will start implementing cardio again soon but purely for heart and cardiovascular health.
Remember, what works for me may not work for you, it’s all about learning and trusting the process, being consistent and most of all EN
