I’m often asked if semaglutide (ozempic/wegovy), tirzepatide (mounjaro), or other glp-1 agonists (such as saxenda, victoza, etc) “just suppress your appetite”

Nope! They do so much more, which is why this class of medication has everyone so excited.

We’ve had appetite suppressants before (phentermine for example is a stimulant, it works similar to other stimulants like caffeine, amph*tamines and c*ke, in that it stimulates the release of dopamine which is an appetite suppressant)
