48I got to suit up for so many games as a major contributor, and even served as captain a few times. In 2020, I was honored to be the Chargers’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. But the part that lasts? The friendships. Not just with teammates, but with the people throughout the entire building.
And the way they embraced my wife—supported her career, believed in her, and championed everything she was trying to do—meant more than they’ll ever know. At a time when so few people saw her clearly, they did. That kind of support stays with you.
My only real regret is that my daughter wasn’t around to see me play.
But once again, the Chargers showed up. They gave her a chance to be part of my football journey, even in a small way—and that changed everything for me.
I’m officially, and forever, a Charger.

Where do I start? I played seven years in the NFL—four of those with the best organization a player could ask for. A family-run team that genuinely cares about its players and their families.
