Humble beginnings, iron determination
I am not defined by my start in life, more by the steps I have taken to improve my situation.
Orphaned at a young age in Nyanza Province, my extended relatives decided I was destined to be married young when I finished primary school I was devastated and had to run from home.
After finding myself a sponsor (Mr. Kiziah) for secondary school, I set off to boarding school and I never looked back. After secondary school I followed my older sister to the Kenya coast in search of an opportunity to change my life.My sister was a waitress at Vipingo Ridge Golf Course.
Starting out as a domestic helper at Vipingo Ridge, I showed myself to be reliable and hard working.
