Jay Shields emerged from Memphis’s vibrant music scene as a hype man turned artist and songwriter, releasing several mixtapes and an album. After mastering music engineering and business, he founded the Southern Coalition Movement (S.C.M.), a hub uniting artists and industry professionals. S.C.M. now includes radio stations, a digital magazine, and the annual SCM Awards. A multiple award-winner, including the 2024 “I’m So Memphis” honor, Jay serves as EVP of Urban Grind TV, President of Raw Quality Sounds, head A&R for Palm Tree Entertainment, and partner to Dr. Yahki Rapha Elohim. He also manages DJ Q Memphis, DJ Ms. Hypnotique, JRilla Da Great, Ezy Lundon, Mary-Lue, and Moshey Ben Yahudah.
