In 2023 I lost jobs, got sick, royally f**ked up, embarrassed myself, let people down, felt lonely, questioned everything, and sometimes lost hope—and just as real and important as the joy of 2023’s highlights pictured here was the pain of those offscreen moments. My favorite thing about a new year is the signal that time is moving forward whether we like it or not. And while viewing it as a “fresh start” and a chance for self-reinvention is helpful for a lot of people, I prefer to skip the *new year new me* dogma because I think you’re a new you every day you wake up after surviving the day before. There will never be a year when you only gain success, live in pristine health, f**k nothing up, and make everyone happy. But good or bad it’ll still be your year because you made the choice to take it on and give it your best shot. So LITERALLY congrats and don’t be scared!! 2023 was our year and so is 2024 baby!!!🎉🎉🎉
