Tonight was a special evening, speaking in front of friends and family in Orange County. My partner Scotty flew in from Northern California, and my close friend Matt Bowyer joined me on stage. Matt shared lessons he’s learned since pleading guilty to running a bookmaking operation that involved Shohei Ohtani’s interpreter. Rather than excuse or focus on the past, he spoke about owning his decisions, accepting responsibility and the consequences that follow a government investigation.
