33For me, this was profoundly moving for two sacred reasons.
First, the merit of bringing Torah into the Vatican.
Second, the mystical recognition from a spiritual leader who lives beneath the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
As a biblical muralist, Michelangelo is not only a master to me, but a constant source of divine inspiration.
I can only stand in GRATITUDE!!!

From the sketches of the great Torah mural at the NBI Synagogue in Santiago de Chile, a silk reproduction found its way into the hands of Pope Francis at the Vatican.
For me, this was profoundly moving for two sacred reasons.
First, the merit of bringing Torah into the Vatican.
Second, the mystical recognition from a spiritual leader who lives beneath the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
As a biblical muralist, Michelangelo is not only a master to me, but a constant source of divine inspiration.
