Thank you to @mayorofmilwaukee for welcoming us to your city and joining NLC President, @cityofranchocordova Mayor David Sander and New York Councilmember for District 51 @joseph_c_borelli at a press conference with local leaders to discuss the role of cities and the importance of fostering a strong relationship and engaging with the federal government.

At today's City Commission meeting we were gratified to proclaim Scleroderma Awareness Day, for this autoimmune disease mainly affecting the skin; recognize the longterm service of Ignatius C. Carroll, Jr. as he retires from the city's Department of Fire-Rescue; and the contributions of the late Jorge Alberto Mursuli Del Valle, who was a lifelong champion of human dignity. Our residents and the causes they support represent the best of not just Miami, but of a proud, compassionate America that continues to improve.
