We also had the privilege of meeting and spending time with the amazing children who are part of HCI's Child Sponsorship and Orphan Care programs, which ensure that underprivileged children can attend school, get quality education, live in safe and secure homes, and have their basic needs like food, clothing, and hygiene met. These children have lost one or both parents and are dependent on this program for the essentials of life, and this is made possible entirely through HCI's donors. This July I spent an unforgettable week in Lebanon with @hcicanada , joining a team of volunteers from across the world. Together, we packed boxes of lifesaving aid that have now arrived in Gaza, delivered boxes of food and hygiene essentials to Syrian and Palestinian families in refugee camps, met recipients of HCI's vocational training sponsorships, which build skills and opportunities for individuals in need, and witnessed firsthand the difference HCI’s efforts make for communities facing unimaginable challenges.
