Where do I begin? I had many goals with this project. Externally I felt privileged to be able to articulate the intrinsic lessons that every Skateboarder knows. To display the daily lessons that unmask adversity as advantage. To be a Skateboarder is to only be bound by the limits of our minds.
Internally, I wanted to provide space for skaters to embrace this inherent part of our minds that knows no limits. We are more than just skateboarders. As I stepped into this space (Which was very intimidating to me.) It brought me back to skating’s core. Whether looking down the barrel of a 10 stair rail or a 1000 person audience we will thrive in any space. Skateboarding normalizes the impossible into a daily routine. It gives us the key to our own potential. As a community and individuals we are so much more than the tricks we do and opening those doors only brings a more diverse and inclusive space for all skateboarders to reach their highest potential.
I have nothing but gratitude for the amazing people and the journey of bringing this to life.
