I was one of those who initially thought Five Star Stranger by Kat Tang would be a fluffy and wholesome read based on the cover. Don’t be fooled—this book delves into many situations that challenge the main character’s morals.
The story revolves around a man who works as a “rental stranger” on an app. If you need a stand-in or someone to pretend to be whoever you want, you can hire a stranger through this app.
Our main character has an outstanding reputation—he’s earned five stars for his services and has been in this line of work for a few years. However, as he takes on various roles, he begins to question his boundaries and inevitably gets involved in the lives of those who hire him.
The concept behind this book is thought-provoking. Despite that, I found myself skimming through some parts because they didn’t hold my interest as much.
That said, I would still recommend this book to readers who enjoy character-driven novels and are open

-been obsessing over makeup again lately and i bought a lot of new products the past few weeks 🤭 the amount of rhode tiktoks i’ve watched is crazy. also recently found an everyday dress that fits me perfectly! see slide #11 😉 ive been enjoying shopping for clothes and makeup recently lol im just a girl

-so close to finishing prime time romance by kate robb! it somehow reminds me of a novel love story by ashley poston altho i loooveee the former way more 🥰 it’s such a cute romance
📺 what im watching
-i watched A LOT of shows recently that i can’t rmb all of them. some are hijack, black bird, severance, emily in paris s4, presumed innocent, land of women, love next door, the last of us, and moree. i highly recommend watching shows from apple tv+ they’re SOOO good. production is top tier! also, my all time fave is ted lasso <3 i’m also currently watching heart signal season 7 china! i’m just a girl who’s obsessed with reality shows esp dating shows lol. also a movie that rly made so much impact on me recently is how to make millions before grandma dies. i literally started crying halfway through the movie and couldn’t stop, even an hour after finishing it 😆 i won’t watch it again tho bcos im not a masochist
