Wake up. Shower. Clean clothes. Routine.
Adam moved in at 49 years old in March 2022 and change is not easy at any age, especially when you’re intellectually developmentally delayed. I like to say special made with a little bit of magic for earth.
Today, all on his own takes his sheets off and puts them in the wash. He also goes to the gym, takes adaptive cooking, bowling, and dancing classes, and lives each day with purpose.
I’ll celebrate Adam every single day because this growth didn’t come easy, and he earned every bit of it. 🤍

Mutual respect, teamwork, and always having each other’s backs ❤️

I was in a hurry and woke Adam up early so we could deliver materials off to my hubby.
Adam runs at his own pace and needs to check things off his list before we go anywhere. He has his routine that I helped build with him and he’s so calm because of this.
I never want to rush him. His peace gives me peace. ✌️

Today I needed extra patience with my brother Adam. He’s 52, special needs and lives with me.
