7great-uncle Morris Kimbarow. He was my grandfather's brother and a first-generation American who grew up during the Great Depression. Like many of the Greatest
Generation, he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country in World War I. He stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6th 1944 and made it through the invasion. Three months later he would be killed by a Sniper in Germany. He was only 20 years old.
I never had the chance to meet my great-uncle Morris, but I have the honor of carrying his spirit with me. I strive to continue and remember Morris Kimbarow's legacy through
my own life.
This Memorial Day, I honor Morris Kimbarow and all those who sacrificed their lives in American conflicts. "All gave some, and some gave all."
