67. Monday Meditations: The Sermon People Never Hear You Preach

64. Monday Meditations: Bending to Serve

63. Monday Meditations: The Seduction of Safety

^ a friend sent this to me the other day, and I deeply loved it and thought it might encourage someone else to stay pure of heart.
There’s a cost to being uncommon. People will try to label you, or put you in a box, let them, whatever…accusations don’t define you, obedience to Christ does. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. Don’t ever carry words that God never spoke over you.
…endure hardship for the sake of the Gospel and the evil of this world will never break you.
I promise.
God gives you the grace you need for each day. It is His strength, not yours.
Rest in that.
You answer to God, not to the noise.

After these past four months I’ve witnessed that what we built at home mattered even more than I realized at the time. We were mission focused, united front, because we were covenant committed first. Christ was and still is at the center of it all.
Heaven is the goal. So as you love on your husband or wife tonight as we enter into the Sabbath, remember that what you build within the four walls of your home will be challenged and opposed by the enemy, but persevere because there’s a divine refinement to be found in the process of it all.
I love loving you @charliekirk1776
Shabbat shalom baby, have the best weekend in Heaven.

“The most important lesson I’ve learned over this past year is don’t let anyone make you cruel. No matter how badly you want to give the world a taste of it’s own bitter medicine, it’s never worth losing yourself.”

Our Ephesians 5 marriage that is forever etched into my soul. Watching back videos I feel this depth of continued refinement in our love held by God until we’re reunited. Our marriage was a shelter, and from that shelter came courage. From that courage came focus and from that focus came the strengthened obedience to the call to spread the Gospel.

I relive you in a thousand quiet ways. Especially in these DC memories from a year ago…it’s weird even typing out that this was a year ago. I replay it all. The way you love our babies, how we soaked in every moment for the season you worked so hard for, and the quiet moments of just the way we looked at each other when words weren’t needed because the depth of love was so felt. It just loops like a sacred film. And I find myself reliving the past, not to stay there, but to rewitness God’s humbling grace…a living testimony that the Lord was faithful then, and He is faithful still.
