Arianna DeRenzi, also known as Nani, is a Nuyorican painter whose work explores identity, memory, and cultural resilience. Blending her Puerto Rican heritage with the realities of growing up in New York City, she creates emotionally layered paintings rooted in personal and collective experience. Her work often features symbols like the Puerto Rican flag, NYCHA buildings, and childhood references, reflecting themes of survival, loss, and belonging. Inspired by familial rituals like asking bendición, Nani uses bold color, texture, and storytelling to honor her community and navigate the space between diaspora and home.
