Will Ash

It’s been 3 years since I put out my debut solo album called REBIRTH. With an eclectic mix of alternative, acoustic, and cinematic sounds, I look back and remember my determination in making this album a reality. 11 tracks, recorded on an old tape machine, mixed, produced, and recorded by myself in my bedroom. The reality of a debut is that it’s not going to be your best but you should go big or go home and that’s exactly what I did.

I’m proud of the album even with all its flaws and it stands on its own uniquely as a transition album between my rock band and the folk sound I’ve cultivated today with later projects like the REVERIE EP, “october” indie folk album, and singles from my latest project “Western Poetry”.

Looking back on beginnings reminds you of how far you’ve come and how far you have to go so in that sense I’m glad to be reminded of REBIRTH and one of my favorite tracks called “THE GUNSLINGER” with its indie music video shot in Death Valley.
