As the city’s oldest brewery founded as Penn in 1986 on the roots of Eberhardt and Ober, we know what it takes. The heart of Penn has always been its people, those who stood before us, those here now, and those who will carry it forward. Penn Brewery was born from tradition, challenges, hard work, creativity, grit, and an unmitigated love for the people of the city we’ve always called home: Pittsburgh. 40 years later, the kettles are still warm, the glasses are still full, and the community is still gathering around our tables with classic lagers, innovative new brews, new awards, new conversations, new generations and new memories being made.
