39you became more than just a sport to me. you taught me some of life’s most valuable lessons: the importance of hard work, teamwork, discipline, and how strength and success emerge after your largest defeats. you taught me confidence and how it’s built from within. you taught me that my largest fears carried my greatest growth. you also taught me patience: patience with the process, and patience in the storms. you brought me some of my closest friends, some that became sisters forever 🫶🏽 you gave me the opportunity to play college basketball, play professionally for 8 seasons, win some championships along the way 🏆🥇 and gave me a journey that’s shaped me into the woman i am today. i am grateful for every single accomplishment, big and small. but I’m also grateful for the setbacks. 🙏🏽
in this chapter, the life lessons, and the relationships formed along the way is what I’m going to hold most dearest in my heart. 🩷 they created lasting memories that i will carry into this next phase of life. 🥹 lots of emotions right now, but mostly gratitude. my heart is full as this chapter comes to close. a new one is unfolding and i can’t wait to see what God has planned next 📕
