How To Fix Your Knee Pain

Boston Knee Party

TOP 5: EXERCISES TO STRENGTHEN YOUR KNEES

A common cue during the squat is to spread the floor or screw into the floor. Now this can actually be a GREAT cue for a low bar, powerlifting squat, where the goals are
1) Hip crease just below knee level
2) Minimal Knee Bend
3) Recruiting the hip musculature
This becomes an ineffective cue when we are focusing on knee bend in the squat. For someone to get a deep squat, the tibias will need to internally rotate to create full knee bend. This is really important for loading our quads through a full range of motion.
So if your goal is optimizing knee health through a full range of motion, focus on your knee ability to INTERNALLY rotate, rather than pushing out.

Your hamstrings are
1) Knee Flexors
2) Hip Extensors
3) Hip/Tibial Rotators
A lot of stretches neglect the rotation portion. Here are a couple stretches/exercises that allow you to do just that!
But those are just a couple. Want a super detailed program that’s built for your body? Start your mobility assessment and get your custom program by messaging me the word “TRAIN”
