In fact i don’t think I’ve ever shared deeply about my mother hood journey.
I’ve been a single mom for 10 years.
And you know what… for the first time ever I’m sitting down and reflecting on my single mom journey.
And i can’t stop crying. That disgusting ugly hyperventilating exhausting cry.
Being a single mom for so long is so fucking hard. I have valued myself with an insane amount of strength, resilience, and power with all the value i have to offer to the world is birthed from the identity of my single mom journey. If i don’t have this identity… then who am I? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
My heart goes out to every single mom out there. I’m exhausted carrying the weight of what happened when i first found out i was pregnant …. To raising her on my own … and being in charge of everything on my own. Now, i do need to give a shout out to my community of family and friends who have put a hand in our life to support and help. I’m deeply grateful for all the support. And to be honest, building a community of support and asking for it… is a ton of work too.
For 10 years i was in survival mode going a million miles an hour do everything i can to make ends meet. I’m ready for this to come to an end. And in order for this to come to an end i have to sit down with myself and face the trauma head on and feel every single emotion that occurred during this time. And let me tell you…. The anger coming out
