Sharing our first official snaps from our recent Fall photos by @heidimichellephotography for a PTO fundraiser! 🍂 Love how they came out!
🌿 FUN FACT: my husband and I are both coaches! We actually spend a good amount of time in the gym in the winter! I coach volleyball, and this year he’s coaching our oldests rec basketball league! 🏐🏀⛹🏽♀️
We both grew up doing school sports and want to pass that on to our kiddos as well as a love for the outdoors.
Anyone else coaches or spending time getting kids to their sports this season? Or play sports growing up?
This is us 🤎
I hope you find your way outside today, even if just for a few moments!✌🏾

I’m working on a project at the moment that has me sifting through old photos and videos. My middle kiddo, Etta - has by far the most miles on trail of any of my kids so far. It was after I had her that I was the most comfortable in my skin getting outdoors both solo and with kids. So we went. A friend of ours at the time found this hiking kid carrier at a yard sale for me for $5 and I would say we got our moneys worth.
I was so consistent with her. We walked in nature SO MUCH. She started walking at 9 months, and was waddling down the trails shortly after that. She would eat, sleep and be so content in the carrier. If you know her now (age 6) or have ever gotten a chance to spend sometime with her outside or on a trail, you’ve witness it. She’s comfortable in Gods creation. It’s beautiful.
That didn’t require a $300 brand new kid carrier.
My $5 yard sale carrier helped make me into the mother I am today. This pack helped guide me to all of you fine people. Accepting and using this pack enabled my daughter into a resilient and powerful little bugger!!
I really believe if you are just starting out, your gear can make or break you. It can guide you or make you overthink your potential. It can empower you, or hold you back. Hiking is simply walking in nature, you don’t need much to start there.
With my $5 kid carrier, some rickety hiking boots I scored on sale at Big 5 and my gym attire..
