When it rains… it pours.
My family is small and doesn’t really extend beyond the four walls of my home. So I never got to enjoy the big family kind of vibe but it’s always made me appreciate what I have. There isn’t many of us but we love HARD. For me nothing is thicker than blood.
Not many people get blessed to grow up with a family like mine… especially with a grandma like mine. She was one of a kind (if you know then you know haha). My grandma was a woman of many things. She could do it alllllll. She was my best friend, roommate, mentor, hard worker, amazing mom, independent, a shoulder to cry on, a crazy lady, and SO MUCH MORE. Most of all though she was MY grandma. The world doesn’t prepare you for sad days like this. It doesn’t prepare you for the things you may see or have to do. 20 years with her will never be enough for me but that’s just me being selfish. Honestly, most of you don’t know me personally but this lady right here took care of me all my life. She loved me for me. She nurtured me. The good. The bad. The ugly. I knew that if all else failed I was always loved by her. I’ll never know another love like this and I can put this on my life. My heart is more than broken. Appreciate your family because when it’s done… it’s done. You don’t get a second chance or a redo. Ahhh… what I would give to hear this lady moan & groan about whatever she needed one last time.
