I have spent the past 30 days completely off of social media. Spending my time present in every moment and connecting deeper with myself and others. Traveling, meditating, journaling, reading, editing videos, and crossing things off my bucket list- all while posting none of it.
And it was the most transformative month of my life.
But here I am posting this, and I am back with more of a passion and love for social media than I have ever had before.
Why?
Because I remembered my why. Why I started social media and wanted to create content in the first place.
Ever since I was little, I have been drawn to the camera. It comes as naturally to me as breathing. There is no time I feel more at peace and like myself than when I am creating content. It sounds crazy but I swear! I feel it in my bones!
So it will come as no surprise that as soon as I found out what a Youtuber was, it immediately became my dream career. I did my research. I got specific about the life I wanted. I wanted to explore the world, and I wanted to capture it all. I wanted to make videos and do brand deals and get sent to Coachella!I remember staying up all night at 13 years old.
