Marianna Silva

Marianna is a Boston-based fiber & visual artist & the founder of Sm¡¡13y (pronounced Smiley), a brand rooted in craftsmanship, community, & joy. Working across crochet, knitting, Tunisian crochet, & mixed visual arts, she creates wearable & functional pieces that celebrate culture, care, & resilience. Raised volunteering at Twelfth Baptist Church alongside her late grandmother, Barbara Ann Coren, Marianna’s work is shaped by a lifelong commitment to service. Early experiences in choir & an ASL solo at the church sparked her passion for accessibility & language justice. Through Sm¡¡13y, she blends art with purpose-circulating creativity back into the community & uplifting future entrepreneurs.
