🏄‍♂️Frontside cutbacks feeling stiff or stuck?
Let’s loosen things up—with analogies that are a little silly, but seriously effective.

The goal: spinal rotation and chest following your turn, not your board dragging your body around. Most importantly, don’t lose your back arm—it’s your compass.

Here are some of my favorite cues from this reel:
• Hug the foam man (aka my baby girl—she’s the real MVP)
• Fruit Ninja that cucumber
• Pass the coffee cup (clean and smooth… don’t spill it)
• Look at the time – but remember, it’s more about arm placement than actually checking the time
• Front hook (different, but still adds that nice rotation)

Not all of these are technically perfect—they’re just playful ways to help your body feel the movement. And one more thing: look back when you turn. It’s key.

Try them, mix them, and see what sticks. Let your surfing be a playground.
