16Researching the true narrative involved digital deep dives into museum archives, where I found diamond engagement rings depicted in Renaissance art that pre-dates the 1477 engagement of Mary of Burgundy to Archduke Maximilian. Many experts guided my path in the deep history, led by the legendary Benjamin Zucker, who wrote the Foreword.
None of this would have been possible without the support of @onlynaturaldiamonds and the entire team, especially @mrskbk and @sambroekema, who were both patience personified during the lengthy production process. When many wondered what was taking me so long to write a book on diamond engagement rings, they never questioned it.

The History of Diamond Engagement Rings: A True Romance—available on Amazon (link in bio)—was born out of several ideas. Mainly, I wanted to uncover the story of diamond engagement rings in a historical way, placing facts in context of when things happened and why. I also wanted to dispel many commonly held misconceptions.
